He was predeceased by: his parents, Maggie Cooke Monroe and Ural Leonard "Sheepie" Monroe; his stepmother Mary Edna Monroe; and his sons, Anthony Glenn Monroe and Christopher Leonard Monroe.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Starbuck (Scott) and LeAnn Humphrey (JR); his siblings, Donald Monroe (Carolyn), Kenny Monroe (Sheila), Randy Monroe (Kathy), Jimmy Monroe (Precia), Diane Warwick (Cris) and Vickie Gibson (Dennis); his granddaughters, Nikki Monroe and Lauren Burkett (Brandon); and his great grandchildren, Emily Parton, Cheyenne Smith, Mary Elizabeth of Florida, Lexi Monroe, Charlee Burkett and Layne Burkett. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, and a host of friends.
