He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Burpee and Katherine Burpee of Maine; his son Claude Burpee, Jr.; his wife Wanda Braden Burpee; his niece Laura Heisler; his sister Lenore Taylor of Springvale, Maine; his siblings-in-law, Susie Dunn, Calvin Braden (Sabra) and Jim Braden (Pat); and his close friends, Jim Reynolds, Dr. Thomas Haig, Mike Crumley, Dr. James Cox, Dr. Steven Masters, Dr. Drew Miller and Dr. Jack Bowman. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
