He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Harrison Nelson, Sr. and Eva Estella Eaton Nelson; his siblings, Pauline Warwick, Dorothy Warwick, Samuel Harrison Nelson, Jr. (Ruth Nelson) and H. Grant (Faye Nelson); his parents-in-law, Bruce and Vernie Maples; his siblings-in-law, Doug and Varnell Corne; and his nephews, Charles Warwick, Albert Warwick, Ronnie Warwick and Ray Warwick.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Maples Nelson; his children, Clarence E. "Eddie" Nelson, Jr. and Diane Lynn Nelson; his grandsons, Blake Edward Nelson and Frank Alexander Nelson; his pets, Sophie, Chico, Bella and Koda; and his nieces and nephews, Roy Warwick, Dougie Corne, Patsy Mincey, Eva Strange, Wanda Warwick and Kathy Hembree.
