He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Buckner, Sr. and Geneva Eastridge Buckner; his sister Mary Margaret Crawford; and his brother-in-law Wayne Crawford. He is survived by : his wife Judy Goans; his children, Geneva Blurton (Patrick), Charles R. Buckner, Jr. and Joe Buckner (Laura); his grandchildren, Heather, Nicole, April, Lexi, Rylan and Brian; his great grandchildren, Trystan, Axxel, Lathan and Sawyer Lenny; and his siblings, Buster Buckner (Libby) and Donna Crawford (Jerry).

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 at 7:00 AM and at 7:00 PM. Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Halls Chapel (4131 E Emory Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938). A burial will be held on Thursday, June 27th 2024 from 1:45 PM to 2:00 PM and at 2:00 PM.
