He is survived by: his son Joe Weaver (Miesha); his grandchildren, Evelyne Onwo and Joachim Weaver; and his sisters, Mattie G. Washington and Gail A. Weaver. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.
