He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Reeves King and Willie Emma Moore King; and his siblings, Donald Reeves King (Joanne) and Angie Merrill Vanhooser (RW). He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Crunk King; and his children, Vylatte King Gooch (Terry) of Lewisburg, Susanne King Wilson (Wendell) of Crossville, James Mickey King (Kathy) of Cornersville, Richard Blake King (Robin) of Cornersville and Leslie Scott King (Annette) of Huntland, TN.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cornersville United Methodist Church or the Cornell King Memorial scholarship fund at CB&S Bank, which will be award to a Cornersville High School graduate pursuing a degree in the agriculture industry.
