He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Mizell Thurman and Mary Malone Thurman; his brother Dwight Malone Thurman; and his grandparents, Isaac Paul Malone, Lutie Mae Malone, Webster Wilkins Thurman and Annie Mae Thurman.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Thurman; his daughters, Christy Michelle Fowler and Lisa Suzanne Tucker (Jason); his siblings, Gwyn Lee Thurman and Elaine Meacham (Steve); his grandchildren, John Michael Graham, Lacy Kay Fowler, Stevie Shane Fowler, Alyssa Jade Tucker and Tyler Tucker; his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Robyn, Venus, Jordyn, Camden, Ashton and Adalee; his friends, Richard Cox, Donnie Crumley and Billy Ivey; and his pets, Precious, Sunny Bun and Toby. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made in Mike's honor to the Alzheimer's Association, an organization close to the family's heart.
