As we bid Ruth farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Ruth is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley Diane Lanier (A. D.), Gloria Ann Martin (Ray Gene), Lee Andrew Byrd, Robin Elaine Thomas (Ardnett) and Edward O'Neal Byrd. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church (7289 Stage Rd, Memphis, TN 38133). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 26th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
