She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Leggett and Dorothy Cupp Leggett; her son William "Bernie" Dean; and her sister Mary Carolyn Gibson. She is survived by: her husband Franklin Delano Dean; her children, James Dean (Tracy) of Little Rock, Nealie Dean of Cordova and Cheree Cheatham (Russ) of Madison; and her sister Dorothy "Dot" Townsend of Ripley, Tennessee.. She is also survived by Five grandchildren, three great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Alzheimer's Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
