He was predeceased by: his daughters, Vickie Chipman (Chip) and Tina Miotti; and his grandson Dalton Smith (Margie McElhaneywife). He is survived by: his children, Nannette Northcutt, Pamela McElhaney and Dean McElhaney (Diana McElhaney); and his siblings, Will McElhaney, Ima Jean Huckaby, Dorsey Sanders and Johnny Potts. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
