He was predeceased by: his parents, Heber Johnston and Willie May Johnston; his parents-in-law, Harry and Nadine Rice; his aunts, Catherine and Fanelle Maddux; his granddaughter Caroline Pensak; and his brother-in-law Dr. William Miesse.
He is survived by: his wife Susan; his daughter Katie Johnston; his granddaughters, Nadine, Lucie and Maelle; his sister Mary Miesse; his brother-in-law David Rice (Judy); and his friend Joe Patterson (Carrie). He is also survived by friends, family, and nieces and nephews.
