He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Baker and Lois Nave Hurt; his brothers, Roy and Kenneth Baker; and his stepfather Charles Hurt.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Talley Baker; his children, David Baker, Denise Dickenson (Woody), Dianne Davis, Mindy Creech (Shannon Fowler) and Melissa Jaynes; and his grandchildren, Chris, Alicia, Amanda, Lexy and Kaelyn.
