He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Everett and Lucy Brewer Stewart; and his siblings, Elvin Stewart, Tommy Stewart and Ruby Cole.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Anne Stewart (Singleton) of Cordova, TN; his daughters, Roxanna Johnson (Richard) of Myrtle, MS and Jaime Benedict (Lan) of Cordova, TN; his brothers, Nelson Stewart (Becky) of Huntington, TN, Jerrold Stewart (Billy) of Mason, TN and Rick Stewart (Darlene) of Corinth, MS; his sister-in-law Gail Stewart of Oxford, FL; his grandchildren, Eric Johnson (Raquel) of Bartlett, TN, Emily Tuberville (Jerrid) of Myrtle, MS, Joshua Benedict (Brittany) of Cordova, TN and Shelby Bigham (Tyler Freeman) of Bartlett, TN; and his great grandchildren, Sarah Johnson, Bethany Tuberville, Jace Tuberville, Corbin Johnson, Cassie, Charlie Johnson, Zoey Marie Bigham and Ava Lynn Bigham. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
