He was predeceased by: his parents, William Howard McCarter and Barbara Tarver Speights; and his adoptive father Lawrence Henry "Bob" Cohn. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Cohn; his stepchildren, Amanda Collver of Oregon and Ryan Siler of McCaysville, GA; his sons, Todd Cohn and David Cohn, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; and his siblings, Mark McCarter, Doug McCarter and Becky McCarter of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
