He was predeceased by: his former wife Elizabeth Stephens Carr; his son Hoyt "Lynn" Carr; his son-in-law Robert Kirk; and his brother Edward Carr. He is survived by: his wife Diane Henry Carr of Copperhill, TN; his daughters, Karen Carr Kirk of Copperhill, TN and Crystal Shurley Martin (Brian) of Flowery Branch, GA; his grandchildren, Joshua Collins and Colyn Martin; and his daughter-in-law Linda Prince Carr of Murphy, NC.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Akins-Cobb Copperhill Chapel (823 Ocoee St, Copperhill, TN 37317). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
