He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert M. Duncan, Sr. and Nelda DeMontbreun Duncan. He is survived by: his wife Diane DeBerry Duncan; his children, Rebecca (Brian Bowman) of Brentwood, Tennessee and Robert M. Duncan, III (Jessica) of Washington, D. C.; and his grandchildren, Maddie, Katie Bowman, Patrick and Andrew Duncan.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cookeville Chapel (59 N Jefferson Ave, Cookeville, TN 38501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
