James Wilson Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Wilson of Cookeville, Tennessee, who passed away on January 10, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint James leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edd Wilson and Mary Alice Presley Wilson; and his sisters, Edith Allen and Rosey Murray. He is survived by: his siblings, Donald Wilson (Dawn), Willie Wilson and Freddie Wilson of Overton County, TN; his close friend Mary Sullivan; and his siblings, Ann Darlene Anderson of Cookeville, TN and John Allen of Lebanon, TN. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Cookeville Chapel (59 N Jefferson Ave, Cookeville, TN 38501). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Harris Chapel Cemetery (247 Monterey Hwy, Livingston, TN 38570).
