He was predeceased by: his parents, James Monroe Ashley Sr. and Annie Mae Albritton Ashley; and his sister Linda Shaw. He is survived by: his wife Faye Rittenbery Ashley; his sons, James A. "Tony" Ashley (Susan) and Greg Ashley (Martha); his grandsons, Jacob Kyle Skelton (Stella) and Joshua D. Skelton; and his great grandchild Raelynn Mae Skelton.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cookeville Chapel (59 N Jefferson Ave, Cookeville, TN 38501). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at the Crest Lawn Cemetery (800 W Jackson St, Cookeville, TN 38501).
