He was predeceased by: his parents, Sewell Isaac Flatt and Ruby Lee Roberts Flatt; his son Chad Flatt; his siblings, Linda Wilmoth, Kenneth and Windell Flatt; and his stepdaughter Sherry Hooten.
He is survived by: his brothers, Billy Flatt (Mary) and Ronnie Flatt (Rena); his sisters-in-law, Theresa Flatt and Bette Flatt; his stepdaughter Sheila Hines (James); his stepgranddaughter Makala Hooten; his nieces and nephews, Sheila Rose (Donald), Shirley Druggan (Bob), Jammie Hunter (Adam), Chris Flatt (Angela), Sharon Flatt Carlile, Eric Flatt (Sierra), Kelly Bowman (Chip), Kenny Flatt (Amy), Bernadette Hoffman (Ken), Patrick Flatt and John Flatt; and his close friends, Mark Hays (Victoria), Sue "Susie" Fox and Shirley Holmes.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, November 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Cookeville Chapel (59 N Jefferson Ave, Cookeville, TN 38501). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, November 17th 2024 at the Curry Chapel Cemetery (Bloomington Springs, TN 38545).
