Though Effie may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David "Dave" Franklin Groce and Myrtle Elizabeth Groce (Norris); and her siblings, Buddy Groce, Sue Whiteaker and Dave Groce.
She is survived by: her husband Hollis Bryant, Jr.; her daughters, Sherrye Winnett (Darrell) and Lou Ann Herberman (Mark); and her grandchildren, Christian Herberman, John Herberman (Yasmeen Mahmoud) and David Herberman (Aislynn). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Crest Lawn Funeral Home (800 W Jackson St, Cookeville, TN 38501). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
