He was predeceased by: his parents, Collie Dewey and Ruby Dee Johnson Anderson; his grandsons, Matthew Steven Pompell and Curtis Lee Pompell; and his siblings, Collie Dewey Anderson, Jr., Charles Denny Anderson, Alfred Ray Anderson, Loyd Denton Anderson, Carl Lee Anderson and Charlene Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Ann Anderson; his daughter Linda Joyce Anderson-Pompell; his child-in-law Terry; his granddaughter Ashley Nicole Pompell; and his siblings, Linda Sue Anderson Carr, Roy David Anderson and Robert Joe Anderson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cookeville Chapel (59 N Jefferson Ave, Cookeville, TN 38501). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at the Cookeville City Cemetery (241 S Walnut Ave, Cookeville, TN 38501).
Dean Anderson will be remembered not only for his contributions to his profession but also for the love he instilled in his family, the friendships he fostered throughout his life, and his unwavering faith.
