He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Alexander and Iola Marie Swafford Pankey; and his siblings, Pauline, Charles Edward Pankey, James Herman Pankey, William Pankey, Mac Arthur Pankey and Steve Allen Pankey.
He is survived by: his wife Lucinda Maxwell; his daughters, Sherry Pankey Hunter, Tammie Pankey Smith (Robert), Michelle Pankey, Niki Riley and Krystal McCaskill; his stepsons, Chad and Allushun Maxwell; his brothers, Roy Pankey and Robert Pankey (Mary); his grandchildren, Oshkeia Ponder, Ciara Robinson, Robert Smith, Talisha Maxwell, Tionna Maxwell, Lamar Howard, Chad Maxwell, Makayla Maxwell and Aleyah Rhea; and his great grandchildren, Immanuel, Quron, Kristian, Treasure Robinson, Logan Ponder, Z'niyah Maxwell, Armiry McCaskill and Davawn Riley.
