He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Whiting and Dorothy Sites Whiting; his sister Nancy Whiting Yuhasz; and his wife Judi Sandra Caskey Whiting. He is survived by: his daughters, Marie Elizabeth Hofmann (Claus Hofmann) of Pogradec, Albania and Leah Dawn Quarles (Roy Quarles Jr.) of Murfreesboro; and his grandchildren, Jacquelyn Quarles Cassidy (Sean Cassidy), Kai Hofmann, Logan Charles Quarles, Silas Hofmann, Faith Quarles, Isabella Quarles, Isaac Quarles, Chase Quarles and Brady Quarles.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
