He was predeceased by: his parent JB (Ruth Whiteaker); his sons, Rodney and Reggie Richards; and his siblings, Timmy (Betty Jo), Terry B Whiteaker (Joyce) and Dianna Roberts (Danny).
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Demps Whiteaker; his daughter-in-law Angie Richards; his grandchildren, Kelsea Whittenberg (Justin), Kylie Richards (Cameron) and Jake Richards; his great grandchildren, MaKena and Lukas Whittenberg; his sister Phyllis Cobb (Charles); and his mother-in-law Betty Demps.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oaklawn Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Happy Haven Children's Home, 2311 Wakefield Dr. Cookeville, TN 38501.
