She was predeceased by: her parents, Eva Esteline Wheeler and Robert Ray Carter; her former husband Marlin Thurman Pippin; her husband James L. Young; her son Joe Lytton Pippin; and her brother Farmer Dycus Carter.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jamie Young of Davenport, FL and Kathy Pippin; her sister Mable Carter Maddux of Cookeville; her caregivers, Donna, Melaney, William, Rhianna, Nikki, Patsy, Rio, Gina, Nate, Stacy, Christian, Tristan and Austin; and also Joyce Hudson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and at 3:00 PM at the Presley Funeral Home (695 Buffalo Valley Rd, Cookeville, TN 38501). Also, she is survived by a special friend and neighbor, Joyce Hudson, who visited her weekly (except during Covid), sent cards, and brought flowers and food, but her visits meant more than anything.
