He was predeceased by: his parents, William Travis King and Elsie Larue Sturdivant King; his wife Judith "Judy" Pogue; and his sister Frances Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Jeff King (Janet) of Columbia, Angeline Gaddy of Murfreesboro, Beth Swanson (Kris) of Medina and Kirk King of Columbia; his grandchildren, Patrick King, Evan King, Clara King, Wren Chenoweth-Gaddy (Nick), Allie Swanson, Kit Swanson, Will Swanson, Caroline Swanson, Whittney King, Bradley King, Callie Campbell (Matt) and Caleb King; his sisters, Gene Townley, Anna Lipps (Jimmy) and Hinda Simpson; and his sister-in-law Carnice White. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
