He is survived by: his wife Margaret Hardison; his children, William Hardison, Jr. (Sandy) of Culleoka, Brian Wayne Hardison of Columbia and Pamela Hooten (Jason) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Zach Hooten (Mary Catherine), Brandon Hardison, Sarah Hooten and Summer Hooten; his great grandchildren, Knox Hooten and Brooks Hooten; his sisters, Betty Chappell (Terry) of Franklin, Linda Pantall (Jimmy) of Columbia and Cathey Cheek (Ronnie) of Lewisburg; and his close friend Alvin Luna. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
