He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Maurer and Phyllis Starkweather Maurer; and his brothers, Michael Maurer and James Maurer. He is survived by: his children, Bryan Maurer (Selena) of Culleoka, Jason Maurer (Martha) of Nashville, Chadwick Maurer of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, Virginia Jones (Josh) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and Miranda Harmon of Columbia; his grandchildren, Macy Maurer, Addison Maurer, Kaylee Jones, Tyler Jones, Russell Thompson, Riley Thompson, Reagan Harmon, Ryan Harmon, Chelsey Shumaker (Mark), Autum Maurer, Jessie Baker (Marcus), Kayla Dale, Justin Snitzer, Michael Ulman and Nikkie Ulman; and his sisters, Diane Swathwood (David) of Ludington, Michigan and Mary Butterick (Jack) of Fremont, Michigan. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
