She was predeceased by: her parents, Harlan C. Clay and Geraldine Hardison Clay; her in-laws, James and Clara Stofel; and her brother-in-law Bill Bolton.
She is survived by: her husband James L. Stofel of Columbia; her children, Dawn Chapman (Tim) of Lewisburg, David Stofel (Alice) of Lawrenceburg, Danny Stofel (Dana) of Columbia and Diane Stofel of Columbia; her grandchildren, Audrey Brown (Tyler) of Summertown, Drew Stofel (Amber) of Lawrenceburg, Brittany Chapman of Louisville, KY, Whitney Stofel of Spring Hill, Chris Chapman (Megan) of Lewisburg, Dylan Stofel of Murfreesboro and Luke Stofel of Lakeland, FL; her siblings, Glenda Bolton of Columbia, Kathleen Hanson (Fred) of Chattanooga and Ricky Clay (Kim) of Columbia; and her sister-in-law Linda Stofel Hendley of Columbia. She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
