He was predeceased by: his parents, William James Whiteside and Juanita Jackson Whiteside; and his sisters, Ella Ann Whiteside, Martha Whiteside, Mary Neely Hopkins and Jamie Sue Langham.
He is survived by: his wife Nina Grimes Whiteside of Hampshire; his children, Dionne Manire (Kenny) of Columbia, Olivia Whiteside of Columbia, Paul Whiteside (Hillary) of Hampshire and James Terry Whiteside of Hampshire; his grandchildren, Laura McCrary (Chance), Weston Whiteside (Breonna), Kirk Whiteside (Taylor Milliken), Mia Manire, Eva Manire, Nina Manire, Martha Jane Manire and Cooper Malugin; his great grandchildren, Carson McCrary, Tanner McCrary and Ansley Whiteside; and his brothers-in-law, Tex Hopkins and John Langham. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home (320 W 7th St, Columbia, TN 38401). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Cathey's Creek Church of Christ building fund or Worley Cemetery.
