She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Vandiver and Mary Jane Anderson; her husband Preston Floyd; her daughter Gail Clark; and her brother David Vandiver.
She is survived by: her children, Patty Trousdale (Sonny), Joy Roberts (Harry), Bobby Floyd (Angela) and Randy "Buzz" Floyd (Penny); her great grandchildren, Marly Davis, Macy Davis-Wallace (Trevor), Mabry Davis (Lonnie), Ansley Roberts, Cammi Parks (Cade), Maddy Craig (Trevion), Meg Craig, Skyler Trousdale, Gracie Trousdale, Jaylyn Floyd, Sara Belle Floyd, Greenley Taylor, Preston Chapman, Harper Newson, Bryce Newson, Finley Skelton and Gunner Skelton; her great great grandchildren, Hadleigh Gail McCord, Barrett Taylor, Briggs Taylor and Millie Hale; and her siblings, Joyce Hills and George Vandiver.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Mt. Pleasant Museum, a place that holds a special connection to Ruth and her love for preserving the stories of her community.
