She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Benjamin and Jean Bale Pursley Hood; her husband Robert L. Shamblin, Sr.; her children, Janet Shamblin Brown and Robert L. Shamblin, Jr.; and her siblings, Edna Jean Griffith and Harold B. Hood.
She is survived by: her nephews, Doug Shamblin, Sr., Joe David Shamblin, Johnny Shamblin, Kenneth Shamblin and Mark Griffith; and her niece Nancy Shamblin Hunt.
