He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Martin and Grace Martin; his son Ricky Martin; and his siblings, Juanita McDoniel, Ernest, Lawson and Robert Martin.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Willoughby; his daughters, Shirley Johnson (Willard) of Columbia and Kathie Martin of Murfreesboro; his grandchildren, Jeff Johnson of Columbia, Joshua Martin (Mallory) of Knoxville, Tammy Greksa (Gary) of Columbia, Katherine Burleson (Adam) of Summertown and Joanna Loyed (Micah) of Murfreesboro; his great grandchildren, Cole Cheek, Paige Janowicz (Nick), Jake Johnson, Lincoln Burleson, Amelia Burleson, Grayson Loyed and Moira Martin; and his great great grandchildren, Charlotte Janowicz and Henry Janowicz.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
