He is survived by: his close friend Jo Ann O'Connor; his children, Patrick Deakins of Hubert, NC, Stephen Deakins of Sevierville, Ronda Roberts of Sevierville and Priscilla Hill of Raleigh, NC; and his sister Carolyn Beck of Knoxville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
