He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Potts and Robbie Potts; his wife Esther Potts; his son Terry Potts; and his siblings, Wilburn, Larry Potts and Linda Potts.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Laura Potts of Knoxville, Daniel Potts of Knoxville and Chris Potts (Courtney) of Knoxville; his brothers, Dean Potts (Catherine) of Columbia, Ray Potts (Edna) of Santa Fe, Billy Potts (Brenda) of Santa Fe and Danny Potts (Virginia) of Santa Fe; and his close friends, Naomi Kelley and Larry Tidwell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
