He was predeceased by: his father Leon Davis; his sister Jane Fetherling; his brothers-in-law, Dennis Ray Fitzgerald and Stanley Norman; and his nephew Kenneth Norman.

He is survived by: his sisters, Carolyn Paul (Donald), Cleon Clayton (Bobby), Janet Norman, Sheila Ledford (Donald) and Debby Fitzgerald; and his close friend Connie Alley. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews; great-nephews, great-nieces; great-great nieces and nephews; and many cousins.
