He was predeceased by: his father John T. Pointer; and his son James Reginal Pointer. He is survived by: his mother Cleo Hudson Pointer; his son Max Pointer (Hannah) of Tullahoma; his brother John Pointer (Victoria) of Cane Ridge; his grandchildren, Rayne Pointer, Skyy Pointer, Camron Powell, Mathew Powell and Jeremi Powell; his niece Danielle Northern; his nephew Sean Thomas Pointer; and his great-uncle Claude Browne.
