He is survived by: his son Thomas Ray Vaughn of Columbia; his grandsons, Thomas Mitchell Vaughn (Amanda) of Lafayette and Jeremy Ayers of Springfield, Tennessee; and his sister Naomi Pope of Culleoka, Tennessee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
