He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Scott and Gladys Scott; his son Cameron Scott; and his brother Clyde Scott. He is survived by: his wife Freda Scott; his daughter Akira Renee Scott of Columbia; his grandchildren, Addison and Khloe Smithson; and his siblings, Ronnie Scott (Bo) and Cathy Martin (Tommy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
