He was predeceased by: his parents, Bristol Alexander Messick and Connie Paul Messick. He is survived by: his wife Carlene Dillehay Messick; his children, Angela Cavanagh (Jason) of Fayetteville, NC, Alex Messick (Marissa) of Gulf Shores, AL, Beth Eastep (Scotty), Richard Perko (Tabby) and Ashley Morrow (Archie); his grandchildren, Cole Cavanagh, Zack Perko, Rieves Eastep, Brady Cavanagh, Grace Cavanagh, Luke Perko, Philip Eastep, Taylor Whiteside, Lila Eastep, Rylee Whiteside, Logan Eastep and Arch Morrow; his siblings, Ray Messick (Diane), Linda Craig and Paula Harris; and his legged pal Henry.
