He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Bowden and Frances Helton Bowden; his sister Sandra Bowden Gillespie; and his nephews, Jack Gillespie and Tony Johnson.
He is survived by: his son Phillip; his daughter-in-law Erin Bowden; his grandchildren, Anzlei Kae and Nathan Stanley Bowden; and his brothers, Stanley Bowden (Sharen) of Cambridge, MA and Steve Bowden (Myra) of Lewisburg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
