She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Lewellen and Helen Clayton Cook; her grandson Patrick John "PJ" Carson of Columbia; and her siblings, Marilynn Copen of Barberton, Ohio and Richard Lewellen of Detroit, Michigan..
She is survived by: her husband Ralph Owens of Columbia; her children, Aaron Owens (Regina) of Columbia, Patty Carson (Mike) of Columbia and Ken Owens (Kim) of Lawrenceburg; and her sister Ruth Ann. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
