He was predeceased by: his father William Massie; his sisters, Connie Prince (Eddie) and Vicky Love; his uncle Richard Clark; his grandmother Lily B. Cruze; and his brother-in-law Jerry.
He is survived by: his mother Virginia Tosh Massie; his wife Paula Massie; his children, Heather Massie (Allen) of Columbia, Heaven Messer (Chris) of Kentucky and Mark Evans (Shyla) of Linden, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Trentyn "Motorgator" Hughes, Sky Messer, Isaiah Evans and Lilly Evans; his close friends, Jerry Gray, Jr., William, Matthew Kennedy, Jessica "Boo" McNabb and Jessica Ashworth; and his siblings, Jimmy Massie (Jennifer) and Tracy Gray. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
