He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Melvin Scales and Willie Bell Taylor Hodge; and his stepfather Luther Preston Hodge. He is survived by: his son LaShawn Webster of Columbia; and his half-sisters, Elaine Hodge, Tammy Hodge of Nashville, Renea Foster and Debbie Gray. He is also survived by several aunts, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
