He was predeceased by: his parents, John Barkley Davis and Hattie Ora Brown Davis of Columbia; and his siblings, Brownie Mae, Mildred Elaine, Sally Madeline, Louie Thomas, Johnie Milton, Bonnie Idella, Glenna Ann, Hattie Lois and Mary Ruth.
He is survived by: his brother Aubrey Davis of Columbia; his sons, John Luther Davis (Carol) of Nashville and William Alan Davis (Anne) of Columbia; his grandchildren, John Lawrence Davis (Thankful) of Signal Mountain, William Alexander Davis (Kelsey) of Signal Mountain, Massie Bond Davis (Anthea) of Bergen, Norway, Lucy Margaret Bert (Dillon) of Cookeville and Alan Bishop Davis of Mt. Juliet; and his great grandchildren, Marion Light Davis, John Levi Davis, Ford Alexander Davis and Hadley Bond Davis.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made on behalf of Mr. Davis to Craft Memorial United Methodist Church, Columbia, Tennessee.
