It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Alice Whiteside Delk of Columbia, Tennessee, who passed away on September 14, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert Brown Whiteside and Elva Iris Smith Whiteside; and her husband John A. Delk. She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth Ann Kelley and Alice Cathy Webb (Nelson); her grandson Cory Lane Primm; her sister Sara Whiteside Farris; her brothers-in-law, Joe Delk (Mable) and Charles Delk (Larissa); and her close friend Mary Lynn Woodard.
The family suggests memorials to Spring Hill Church of Christ, Columbia Academy, or the American Cancer Society.
