Marie Rhodes Obituary
In loving memory of Marie Rhodes (Columbia, Tennessee), who departed this world on November 23, 2024 at the age of 91. Marie leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lebert Luther Dickson and Flossie Evelene Chiles Dickson; her husband Earl Rhodes; her siblings, Ernest Dickson, Royal Dickson Sr., L. T. Dickson, Willa Mae Dickson and Ann White; her niece Lori Dickson Stockard; and her daughter-in-law Judy Rhodes.
She is survived by: her friend Betty Vinson; her grandchildren, Joe Rhodes of Revere and Megan Hilfinger of Salem; and her daughter-in-law Deanna. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home (320 W 7th St, Columbia, TN 38401). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Marie asked that you make a donation to the church you attend; or to the Dave Hall Baseball Scholarship, care of Bethany Lay in the Investment Office, Columbia State Community College, 1665 Hampshire Pike, Columbia TN 38401; or to the Duck River Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) in memory of Ronnie Norton, 2002 Oakland Parkway, Columbia TN 38401.
