It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mamie Iona Manson Ricks of Columbia, Tennessee, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on August 4, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Iona Manson Ricks; her spouse Rosevelt Ricks; her children, Sylvia E. Daniel, Iva Cardona (Carlos), Howard, Lisa Frierson, Jr., Allen Frierson, Deon Ricks and Leon Ricks; her great grandchild Caron Frierson, Jr.; her siblings, McKinley Goins, Jr., Andrew Goins, Iva Goins Green and Rachel Goins-Cryer; her uncle Raymond Manson; her niece Dona Evans; her nephew Melvin Terrance; and also Imani Reed. She was also cherished by 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 4 godchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
