We are sad to announce that on January 26, 2023, at the age of 95, Mamie Burgess (Columbia, Tennessee) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Felix Adams and Maggie Ophelia Henson Adams; her husband Earl C Burgess; her sisters, Berniece Follis, Margaret "Bobbie" Anderson, Katherine "Kitty" Gammons and Melba Ann "Judy" Anderson; and her grandchildren, Jerry "Dinker" Howell, Gerald Lee Demastus and Janis Carol.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jane Earl Broadway (Gary), Diane Burgess, Deborah Howell (Jerry) and Karen Lee Burgess; her brother Carlos Wayne Adams (Bettie); and her grandchildren, Robert Earl Demastus, Tracy Denise Howell (Jay), Chad Howell (Gaynelle) and Elizabeth Nicks (Glenn). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
