She was predeceased by: her parents, J. D. Nicholson and Elnora Lockridge Nicholson. She is survived by: her children, Sharnell Poulson (Michael) and Derrick Dooley; her grandchildren, Don Dooley, Jr. (Bridgett), Vivian McKnight, Wanda Grandberry, Dexter Dooley (Roslyn), Deborah Dooley, Demeturis Dooley (Shawn) and Yolanda Dooley; her brothers, James Nicholson (Jean) and Dennis Nicholson (Lisa); her sisters-in-law, Katherine Harlan, Elaine "Pee Wee" Dawson, Carolyn Pillow, Gail Wilkes and Lillian Brown; her aunt Geneva Patrick; her goddaughter Rosetta Pillow; her cousin Thessly Nicholson; and her friends, Mickie Cannon, Velvet Harlan, Faye Hampton and Mary Ann Lockett. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
